Founded in 2020 by Harry Talbot and shaped alongside co-founder Connor Gladwin, Coventry Coffee Company has grown from a single online shop into a hospitality coffee partner trusted by hotels, arenas and busy venues across the Midlands.

How we got here.

Lockdown, June 2020

Founder Harry Talbot turned £600 of lockdown savings into something far bigger than he imagined. With cafés closed and people stuck at home, the idea was simple: an online coffee shop that brought great coffee directly to people’s doors.

The pivot to venues

Supplying our first pub was the turning point. Great coffee wasn’t just for homes, it was for experiences. The focus shifted toward hospitality. At the time, Harry was balancing the business alongside a full-time career as a quality engineer in automotive and civil engineering. Demand kept outgrowing the spare hours.

Connor joins

Best friend and natural fit, Connor Gladwin brought more than time and energy. With a strong eye for design and skills in Photoshop, he created the very first Coventry Coffee Company logo back in June 2020, shaping the brand identity from day one. His weekend schedule as an RnB DJ left him free to focus on growing the business during the week. Together, Harry and Connor secured their first hotel client, marking the beginning of a new direction.

2025: Full-time operations

By 2025, the business had grown to the point where Harry stepped away from engineering to focus fully on operations. Connor leads sales and partnerships. One founder on the road, one running the back end, the structure keeps us close to every venue we serve.

What hasn’t changed is how we started: with a small investment, a big idea, and a belief that great coffee should be accessible everywhere.
